Madison International Realty has appointed Ehud Kupperman to oversee the 2 million-plus sq. ft. of tourist-based retail property it acquired from Forest City Realty Trust in New York City.

The 20-year retail real estate veteran will further develop, manage, and execute a business plan for properties that include Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square and Atlantic Terminal and Atlantic Center malls across from Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn.

As senior VP of development for Urban Edge Properties, Kupperman managed properties such as Bruckner Commons, Yonkers Gateway Center, Hudson Mall, and Gun Hill Commons. He also held senior management positions at Cedar Realty Trust and Equity One.

“Ehud brings to Madison an extensive career specializing in the oversight and management of infill retail assets.  His expertise will be invaluable for our highly specialized retail portfolio,” said Madison International president Ronald Dickerman.

Madison provides equity capital for real estate owners and investors seeking to monetize embedded equity, replace capital partners seeking an exit, or to recapitalize balance sheets.
