Lids looks to optimize in-store ops, enhance shopping experience


Chicago -- Specialty retailer Lids has selected ShopperTrak to measure in-store traffic and provide customer behavior insights for Lids and Locker Room by Lids stores.

“We are looking forward to using ShopperTrak’s proven analytics to help improve our in-store conversion and scheduling patterns,” said Eric T. Johnson, executive VP, Lids Retail, which operates more than 1,350 retail locations in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, and is a subsidiary of Genesco. “The level of data provided by ShopperTrak will provide our field management team key metrics to help increase sales, run our stores more efficiently, and enhance the overall customer experience in our stores.”

As part of a pilot program that began in November 2014, Lids implemented ShopperTrak’s perimeter analytics solution across 20 retail locations. From the pilot, Lids recognized the potential to improve operating income and opted for a large-scale rollout in mid-2015.
