New York - Target Corp. on Thursday opened a pop-up shop at Bryant Park in mid-t0wn Manhattan selling what many experts say will be one of its most popular designer collaborations to date: A 250-piece Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection. According to reports, 500 to 600 people were waiting in line at 8 a.m. when the temporary store opened.

The highly-anticipated, resort-inspired collection launches nationwide in Target stores and online, on Sunday, April 19. It covers a wide gamut of categories, from women’s and girls’ apparel to home goods and cosmetics, with a price range from $2 to $250.

"This spring, we wanted to offer our guests a collection that embraced color, print and pattern in a bold, fresh way," Stacia Andersen, Target's senior VP of apparel and accessories, said in a release announcing the collaboration. “"As we started to think about the perfect partner to collaborate with, Lilly Pulitzer was the clear choice given the brand's inspiring heritage, authority with print and pattern and resort-chic aesthetic."
