Total Wine to make Gainesville debut at Butler North

Butler Enterprises has signed the first Total Wine in the Gainesville market to join the array of anchors at Butler North, the next step in the multi-year expansion of iconic Butler Plaza. The 20,000-sq.-ft. store is expected to open in early spring 2017.



At Butler North, Total Wine joins previously announced Lowe's, which debuted in January of this year, Sam's Club, opening in July, Walmart Supercenter opening in August, Ashley HomeStore and the first Marshalls and Dick's Sporting Goods in greater Gainesville, opening this fall, along with numerous specialty shops. The new agreement with Total Wine brings Butler North to 86% leased with the remainder of the space in negotiation.



The 750,000-sq.-ft. destination-oriented Butler North is the latest phase of the 267-acre retail development, joining the iconic Butler Plaza. It will be followed by Butler Town Center, breaking ground this spring and opening in 2018, anchored by the first 365 by Whole Foods Market announced in Florida. The Butler development in total will be a 2 million-sq.-ft. retail powerhouse serving the 13 counties of North Central Florid
