Nordstrom to offer virtual Santa chats, in-store holiday breakfasts

Nordstrom will be offering festive experiences this year in-store and on-line as part of its re-imagined holiday celebrations.

Beginning Nov. 21, the department store will offer a personalized, private, virtual 15-minute video call with Santa. The calls are priced at $20, with all of the proceeds benefitting Operation Warm (which provides new winter coats to kids in need) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Canada. Nordstrom, which is taking reservations for the calls, noted that its Santas are diverse, with a range of ethnic backgrounds and body types to reflect the customers that its serves.

In addition, holiday breakfasts will be offered in Nordstrom’s in-store restaurants at select locations in the U.S. and Canada in December. The breakfasts, which will include kids' activities and festive music and décor, will follow COVID-19 safety precautions. Tickets are $25 for adults (age 18+), $15 for kids (ages 3-7), and free for kids under 3.

Customers can also drop off a letter to Santa in-store at Nordstrom at its curbside pickup — and receive a reply before Christmas. The retailer is even offering a printable online “Dear Santa” template.
