  • Restoration Hardware transforms landmark building to RH gallery/store

    Corte Madera, Calif. – RH (Restoration Hardware Holdings) has opened RH Greenwich, The Gallery at the Historic Post Office, in Greenwich, Connecticut. After years of planning and preservation to honor its singular place in the town’s cultural landscape, the building’s exterior has been completely restored, while the interior has been reimagined and a second story conservatory and rooftop park has been added.

  • Trademark to manage Burr Ridge, Illinois, center

    Fort Worth, Texas — Founders Properties has hired Trademark Property Co. to handle management, marketing, accounting and construction for Burr Ridge Village Center, a 232,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use lifestyle center in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

    Located 15 miles west of Chicago, the center forms a downtown for the affluent Burr Ridge community. It includes 195,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurants, 37,000 sq. ft. of office and 196 luxury residential units.

  • DLC acquires The Court at Deptford in Deptford, New Jersey

    Tarrytown, N.Y. — DLC Management Corp. has acquired The Court at Deptford in Deptford, New Jersey. DLC plans to redevelop the 361,000-sq.-ft. center located next to the Deptford Mall.

    Tenants include Ross Dress for Less, Party City, Pier 1 and Olive Garden.

    Shopping centers in the well-occupied trade area averages occupancy rates of 95%, thanks to a population of 210,985 with an average annual income of $77,600.

     

  • Coldwater Plaza in Avondale, Arizona, sells for $2 million

    Phoenix — Sparty Holdings has acquired the 10,017-sq.-ft. Coldwater Plaza in Avondale, Arizona, for $2.085 million.

    Evergreen represented Sparty Holdings in the transaction. CBRE (www.cbre.com) represented the seller, a partnership between North Dysart SG and Coldwater Dysart Partners.

    The 10,017-sq.-ft. shopping center is 100% leased. Tenants include Pacific Seafood Buffet, Cricket Wireless, Hire Source Staffing, and Checkmate Loans.

  • Westfield’s plan for Village at Westfield Topanga

    Woodland Hills, Calif. Westfield has unveiled the layout, landscaping and décor plans for Westfield Topanga’s outdoor extension, The Village at Westfield Topanga.

    Construction has commenced, and the center is slated to open in the fall of 2015.

  • Gordon Brothers appoints Michael P. Muldowney CFO

    Boston — Gordon Brothers Group, an advisory investment firm specializing in the retail, consumer products, industrial and real estate sectors, has named Michael P. Muldowney to the post of CFO. He will work with all business units on transactional, strategic, financial and operational initiatives. Muldowney will also serve as a member of the executive committee.

  • Legend Retail will represent 10 Denver retail centers

    Denver — AmCap, Brixmor Property Group and Kimco have selected the Legend Retail Group to represent nearly 2 million sq. ft. of gross leasing area at 10 different retail centers across the Denver metropolitan area. The centers include:

  • J. Crew plans Asia expansion

    New York – J. Crew is reportedly planning to expand into Asia. According to the Wall Street Journal, J. Crew will open two new stores in Hong Kong on May 21.

    The Hong Kong stores will be J. Crew’s first Asian stores since it closed its stores in Japan in 2008. In 2012, J. Crew said it planned to open stores in Hong Kong, and the U.K., and opened three U.K. stores in 2013. The retailer plans to open five or six stores in Hong Kong in the next few years, and may also open new stores in Japan.

  • Subway to open 3,000 stores in 2014

    Milford, Conn. - The Subway restaurant chain is poised to open about 3,000 new locations worldwide this year. Subway currently has more than 41,000 stores in 105 countries worldwide.

    "Location, location, location is still the mantra," said John Devine, director of Subway Real Estate. "We continue to provide our customers with convenient locations to enjoy our great menu offerings. At the same time, we continue to offer landlords and developers a proven, stable and trusted tenant for their real estate."
