Alamo Drafthouse will enter the Florida market as the anchor of Phase 3 of O’Connor Capital Partners Vineland Pointe project in Orlando. The theater is expected to open in 2020.

The 450,000-sq.-ft. Vineland Pointe — billed as “Orlando’s premier shopping center” by the developer — continues to rise adjacent to Simon's Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet Mall at the intersection of I-4 and Daryl Carter Parkway.

Phase 1 of opened in December, featuring off-price retailers such as Burlington, Marshall’s, Ross, as well as a Lucky’s Market. Phase 2 is on track for holiday 2019.

“We can’t wait to make it to Orlando, especially my two seven-year-olds who finally want to go along on Dad’s business trips," said Alamo founder and CEO Tim League.

Alamo currently operates 36 theaters in states including Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, and New York.
