American Dream snares top developer honors
It doesn’t open until later this summer, but Triple Five’s been named developer of the year for its 3 million-sq.-ft. American Dream shopping and entertainment complex in New Jersey.
The British publication Retail and Leisure International bestowed the honor on the property that has had three owners and been more than a decade in the making at an event at Universal Studios Hollywood last week.
Brought to fruition by the Ghermezian family, developers of Mall of America, American Dream was hailed as “the best new retail and leisure complex, with an emphasis on diversity, innovation and ‘wow’ factor.”
“Winning Developer of the Year is a monumental achievement for American Dream,” said Don Ghermezian, president, American Dream. “Not only does it prove the uniqueness of our vision, but it puts American Dream on the world stage amongst the industry elite.”
