Creative anchor joins Union Market District
Washington, D.C. — EDENS announced Huge, a full-service digital and design firm headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, with offices worldwide, will open a new office at Union Market in Washington, D.C. Union Market is a 45-acre district that is planned for over 7 million sq. ft. of space.
EDENS has a clear vision to redevelop the district into a diverse and thriving neighborhood, a living laboratory for a sustainable urban community. Huge will join a host of other creative companies housed at Union Market including software startup Venga, Good Fight Media, Dolcezza's corporate headquarters, cross-cultural advertising agency Sensis, the studio of renowned sculptor John Dreyfuss, as well as, the 40 local small businesses at the Market.

Great Gatherings expands presence in the D.C. Metro area
Detroit — X Team International, an international alliance of retail real estate advisors, announced that partner, Stokas Bieri Real Estate has negotiated two 10-year leases for Great Gatherings in Virginia and Maryland.
In November Great Gatherings will open a 17,000 sq. ft. store Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg. Maryland. The center is home to 38 tenants including LA Fitness and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The second location is scheduled to open in March 2016 at One Loudoun in Ashburn, Virginia. One Loudon features 50 retailers including Bar Louie.
With the opening of these two locations, Great Gatherings will bring its D. C. Metro Area presence to five locations.
Macerich’s Vita At Tysons Corner Center receives 2015 Award for Excellence
McLean, Va. — Macerich announced that VITA, the new, luxury 30-story residential tower at the mixed-use urban expansion for Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia, has received the 2015 Award for Excellence from Delta Associates.
This marks the fourth major industry honor for mixed-use expansion at Tysons Corner Center, which includes Tysons Tower, the 22-story trophy office building, the 300-room Hyatt Regency hotel and the upscale, 429-unit VITA – all linked by a central elevated Plaza that connects live music, restaurants and shopping to a dedicated stop on the new Metro Silver Line.
VITA, which opened in May as the last element of Tysons' current expansion, is 42% leased.
