DLC acquires its second Texas center

DLC Management Corp. has consummated what it claims to be the largest single retail real estate deal in Texas in the past year, affirming the company’s westward move. All but four of the company’s 96 properties lie east of the Mississippi River.

With more than a million sq. ft. of leaseable space, The Village at Allen outside of Dallas instantly becomes the largest property in DLC’s portfolio. The lifestyle center sits on a 371-acre mixed-use site that is the home of the Allen Event Center, which hosts concerts and sporting events.

“We are thrilled to bring our growth trajectory to Dallas. Along with the acquisition, we are opening our fifth regional office to fuel our expansion in Texas and the Southwest,” said DLC CEO Adam Ifshin.

Super Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, Ross Dress for Less, and Best Buy lead the list of retail tenants at The Village at Allen. Dining options include Bar Louie, Bonefish Grill, In-N-Out Burger, and Freshii.

DLC’s one other Texas property is the Whiterock Marketplace in Dallas. The 226,000-sq.-ft. center is anchored by The Home Depot, Ross Dress for Less, and Marshalls.
