BY Al Urbanski

DLC Management Corporation has landed a major supermarket to take over space formerly occupied by Price Chopper at Tri-City Plaza in Vernon, Conn.

ShopRite has signed a lease to occupy 73,762 sq. ft. of the vacant space, and another lease has been taken on the remaining 27,467 sq. ft. by a yet-to-be-named tenant.

The 300,000-sq. ft. shopping center is located northeast of Hartford and is accessible directly off on I-84. Some 116,000 vehicles pass the center daily.

Other tenants include T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods, Harbor Freight Tools, Staples, and Hartford Healthcare.

DLC also announced it is recapitalizing Tri-City Plaza in a joint venture with Acadia Strategic Opportunity Fund V LLC, an institutional fund focused on delivering long-term, profitable growth.
