Home Depot Closing Landscape Supply Stores

9/20/2007

Atlanta, The Home Depot Inc. is shutting down its Landscape Supply store concept as part of an effort to focus on its core retail concept.

Home Depot spokesman Ron DeFeo said the company would close six of the Landscape Supply stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and five in Atlanta by Nov. 19.

"We don't have any plans to expand the concept and we feel these resources would be a better benefit to our organization if they were redeployed to our core retail stores," DeFeo told the Dallas Business Journal Thursday. "We feel we can serve our current landscape customers through our traditional retail stores."
