Sears reportedly hires JLL to shop stores
Sears Holding Corp. is exploring all possible options.
The bankrupt retailer hired JLL to market about 500 Sears and Kmart locations, reported Bloomberg, even while it weighs the $4.6 billion takeover bid from chairman Eddie Lampert to purchase the stores.
Bids for the stores have come in from retailers and mall owners, and other parties are interested in potentially converting stores for non-retail use, according to the report.
