Des Moines, Iowa - Two leases have been signed for ground-floor retail space at The Foundry in Ames, Iowa, including Starbucks. Committed tenants for the luxury student housing complex near Iowa State University also include Barefoot Campus Outfitter.

“We’re excited to welcome both companies as tenants at The Foundry,” said Jason Conway, director, real estate development, of Opus Development Company L.L.C., developer of The Foundry. “Adding to the building’s amenities, they will enhance the living experience for residents and provide great food and retail options for the surrounding community.”

With a premium location at the entrance to Iowa State University’s campus, both retailers will open fall 2015. Starbucks coffee company will occupy 2,000-sq.-ft. of space with its only location in the campus neighborhood. Barefoot Campus Outfitter, a college spirit wear company, will occupy 3,500-sq.-ft.of space for its first store in the Midwest. The Foundry features an additional 1,900-sq.-ft.of ground-level retail space still available for lease.
