Visa in promotion with Hudson Yards

The “official payment technology partner” for Manhattan’s new Hudson Yards development is offering special perks and deals to its cardholders who shop and dine there.

Visa said it will offer cardholders access to exclusive deals and perks on retail and dining, and will also support contactless payment technology throughout the retail and dining center, which opened on March 15. The company said it will also leverage its sponsorship of Hudson Yards to support female entrepreneurs by creating an on-site digital installation where visitors can donate to female-focused charities, including Women’s World Banking.

One of the Visa promotions being made available to cardholders at Hudson Yards during the initial launch is all-day access to visit the Vessel, the 150-foot-tall, honeycomb-shaped public art installation that is the visual centerpiece of the of the development. It is made up of 154 “intricately interconnecting flights of stairs—almost 2,500 individual steps—and 80 landings, offering visitors expansive views of the ground below.

In addition, the concierge desk in the retail center will offer Visa cardholders private tours that provide an inside look at Hudson Yards as a hub for fashion, design, communications and art. And Visa cardholders who present their cards to the cashier at the Fuki restaurant will unlock a secret menu item.

“Hudson Yards is an exciting new opportunity to show domestic and international audiences the best of Visa, from payments to purpose,” said Mary Ann Reilly, senior VP North America Marketing, Visa. “We are building a portfolio of benefits that enables cardholders to have unique experiences that only Visa can provide.”
