First Look: Target unwraps Dallas remodels
Target Corp. has unveiled eight remodeled stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, the first part of the company’s $220 million, 28-store renovation project in the area. It’s Target’s largest remodel investment in a single market in 2017, and part of the retailer’s previously announced program to remodel hundreds of stores across the country during the next three years.
Each of the eight reimagined stores in Dallas-Fort Worth was given a top-to-bottom overhaul with customized design and functionality. The enhancements included new, inspirational merchandise vignettes and displays to help shoppers easily mix and style products. The food and beverage department got a full makeover with wood-grain fixtures, an updated floor, LED lighting, and products merchandised together with meal ideas.
The remodel also features behind-the-scenes enhancements to make the shopping experience more convenient, including updates to Target’s order pickup and ship-from-store services. Also, additional self-checkout lanes with new grab-and-go food offerings were added at the front of stores to make for a super-fast checkout.
