Nordstrom reportedly expanding its merchandise-free retail concept
Nordstrom Local in West Hollywood, Calif., has apparently resonated with consumers.
The department store retailer plans to open two more Local locations in the Los Angeles market, and is also considering expanding the concept to other cities, including Manhattan, if it continues to be successful, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Nordstrom debuted Nordstrom Local in October. The 3,000-sq.-ft. store is designed as a neighborhood hub where customers can access an array of services, including on-site tailoring, personal stylists, buy-online-pickup-in-store, manicures and a beverage bar— but has no dedicated inventory.
