Target wants to help wrap up holiday shopping

Target Corp. is extending holiday store hours and delivery deadlines.

Now through Monday, Dec. 23, most Target stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight. On Dec. 24, most Target stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. The discount titan is also providing some extra time for digital shoppers to make holiday purchases.

Customers will be able to place same-day online and mobile order pickup and mobile drive up orders two hours before stores close on Tuesday, Dec. 24, with most orders ready within an hour. Shoppers will also be able to place online or mobile orders for same-day delivery via Target’s Shipt delivery service during normal Target business hours on Tuesday, Dec. 24. Delivery times typically are available up until one hour prior to store closing; hours may vary by location and Shipt shopper availability. Deliveries are free for Shipt members or $9.99 per order for customers without a Shipt membership.

In addition, customers can select free shipping for Target.com orders placed by noon CT on Friday, Dec. 20 to get guaranteed delivery by Tuesday, Dec. 24. Other holiday offerings include more than 20 curated online gift lists created around themes such as gadgets and creative kids, and the option to send e-gifts either immediately or at a selected future date via a partnership with the GiftNow platform.
