Shoe marketplace gets personal

3/29/2019
Shoe price-comparison website Purcado is curating deals around customer preferences as well as low prices.

Purcado, an online marketplace that works with over 100 retailers and 1,000 brands to offer up to 70% off retail prices on over 200,000 shoes, now enables customers to personalize their search and shop activities. An upgrade to Purcado’s proprietary retail price aggregator technology pulls daily-updated prices, styles and size availability all into one place for both desktop and mobile users.

Shoppers can personalize their search, with Purcado funneling each partner store's shoe inventory into a data engine that sorts and matches the product information. The engine then lists the data in one interactive window. After selecting a product, the shopper is seamlessly connected to the retailer to check out.

Specific customer-facing features of Purcado’s new personalization upgrade enable site visitors to see current data for price, availability, size and style combinations, including a “recently viewed” feature for easier browsing. Interactive search results deliver dynamic price changes per color on both the search results page and the individual product pages.

"Most people don't know if they're getting the best price on shoes," said Jeff Caudill, Purcado founder and president. "They may think they see a good deal and click through only to discover that the shoe isn't available in their size, or that the price increases when they select another color option. Our new algorithm erases this hassle by doing all the work for the shopper, leaving them confident they've found the best price on the shoes they want without the need to bounce from site to site."
