Supermarket giant looking for experienced tech/retail talent

1/18/2018
The Kroger Co. is on the hunt.

The supermarket retailer announced that it is actively recruiting experienced retail and digital and technology talent for new and open corporate and store management roles across its store banners.

"With so many recent changes in the retail landscape, we recognize there are talented individuals in our communities who may be searching for a new career with a new company," said Tim Massa, Kroger's group VP of human resources and labor relations. "As we continue to grow and redefine the customer experience through Restock Kroger, (the name of Kroger’s strategic reset) there has never been a better time to join The Kroger Co."

As part of its Restock initiative, the company is investing an incremental $500 million in human capital over the next three years. This will be in addition to Kroger's continued efforts to rebalance store associate pay and benefits while also focusing on certifications, performance incentives, advancement opportunities and training for associates.

"We want retail and digital and tech talent to know that we're hiring," Massa added.

Kroger operates 2,793 supermarkets under a variety of local banner names in 35 states and the District of Columbia, in addition to 2,258 pharmacies, 783 convenience stores, 307 fine jewelry stores, 222 retail health clinics, 1,472 supermarket fuel centers and 38 food production plants.
