Vertical home fashion retailer puts enterprise on the cloud

BY Dan Berthiaume

Elrene Home Fashions is migrating management of its end-to-end operations to a new cloud platform.

Elrene, which sells home décor consumer products directly to consumers through its own e-commerce site as well as to retailers on a wholesale basis, has selected the BlueCherry enterprise suite of cloud-based solutions. The New York City-based company was seeking a platform to seamlessly track product development as well as upgrade its enterprise resource planning (ERP) to gain visibility into the supply chain, from design to fulfillment.

Elrene selected cloud-based BlueCherry solutions for ERP, product lifecycle management (PLM), business intelligence (BI) and electronic data interchange (EDI), among others. The BlueCherry suite provides end-to-end capabilities for apparel and consumer lifestyle brands. The company intends to increase efficiency, collaboration and visibility across the enterprise with the new cloud platform.

CGS, a global provider of business applications, enterprise learning and outsourcing services, provided integration and migration services.

“By implementing CGS BlueCherry, we expect to gain full transparency into the end-to-end process of all the brands that Elrene offers,” said Bryan Siegel, CEO of Elrene Home Fashions. “By choosing a proven solution that many consumer product brands have successfully implemented, we expect BlueCherry to help us streamline the end-to-end supply chain process.”
