The top 10 brands with the best customer service are...

Three retailers and one restaurant chain are tops when it comes to delivering customer service.

Neiman Marcus came in second in a ranking by Newsweek Media as one of America's Best Customer Service Brands (Disney Cruise Line was No.1). The other retail brands that cracked the top 10 were Chick-fil-A (No. 5), L.V. Bean (No.6) and Publix (No. 9). A full list of the top 10 is at end of article.

The Newsweek ranking was based on an independent survey of more than 20,000 U.S. customers conducted by global market research firm Statista, which ranked retailers and service providers in 160 categories overall. 

In addition to ranking the brands overall, the Newsweek survey also listed the top brands in 160 different consumer categories (to see the entire list on Newsweek.com click here). 

Here is a look at some of the top brick-and mortar brands by category:

• Apparel: Hollister, American Eagle Outfitters and Gap;
• Department Stores: Norstrom, Dillard’s and Bloomingdales;
• Fashion Jewelry/Accessories: Alex and Ani; Fossil and Icing;
• Lingerie: Soma, La Perla and Victoria’s Secret;
• Plus-Size Fashion: Torrid, DXL and Catherines;
• Home Goods: The Container Store, Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier I Imports; and,
• Home Improvement: True Value Hardware, Ace Hardware and Lowe’s.
