1-800-Flowers offers digital solutions for Valentine’s Day shoppers

1-800-Flowers is making it easier for customers to celebrate Valentine’s Day – even in the face of COVID-19 restrictions.

The specialty gift retailer is unveiling several digital gifting features designed to easier for consumers to purchase and deliver products as COVID-19 limits face-to-face interactions. Using the holiday hashtag #NoLimitsOnLove, 1-800-Flowers is introducing solutions including multi-day delivery of online orders, which enables customers to send a variety of gifts to a recipient throughout the week.

A new 1-800-Flowers.com subscription service allows customers to send recurring gifts each month. Customers can automatically send one of several floral arrangements on an ongoing basis throughout the year. The retailer also continues to collaborate with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment to make some of the film studio’s most popular movies available to customers as an add-on purchase.

Other digital offerings include specialty e-cards; complimentary virtual backgrounds featuring floral arrangements, candy hearts, and sweet sentiments; and themed digital how-to guides and DIY content. Customers who order before Jan. 31 can take advantage of exclusive discounts.

“The ongoing health crisis has limited us all in many ways, preventing us from traveling, seeing loved ones, or enjoying a special night out," said Amit Shah, president, 1-800-Flowers.com. "This Valentine's Day, we wanted to give our customers even more thoughtful and easy options for celebrating their love and connecting with the important people in their lives. Whether it is at home or from a distance — with partners, galentines, parents, or children — we are making sure there are absolutely no limits on love this Valentine's Day."
