Ace Hardware expands delivery options with Uber Eats
The world’s largest hardware cooperative is teaming up with another major online delivery platform.
Ace Hardware is making delivery of online orders via the Uber Eats online delivery subsidiary of Uber Technologies Inc. available from more than 3,700 locations across all 50 states.
To place an on-demand delivery order from Uber Eats, Ace Hardware customers can open the Uber Eats app and navigate to “Home & DIY.” From there, they can select their nearest Ace location and browse a selection of home and hardware products.
Customers can then add items to their cart, choose their delivery time (on-demand or scheduled), and check out. Orders can be tracked in real time from the store to the customer’s home.
"Ace is built on a network of locally-owned stores that are deeply rooted in the communities they serve, and partnering with Uber allows us to meet our customers wherever they are," said Bill Kiss, head of digital at Ace Hardware. "Whether they’re tackling a last-minute project or planning ahead, our customers now have greater access to fast, flexible solutions for getting the products they need delivered right to their doorstep."
In September 2025, Ace launched a new delivery partnership with DoorDash, becoming the first and largest hardware co-op on the on-demand delivery platform. DoorDash replaced a proprietary online delivery service called “Buy Online, Deliver from Store” Ace had been offering since 2019 as a feature of its e-commerce site at participating locations around the country.

Chief Ace rival Home Depot has been delivering via Uber Eats since January 2025.
"Consumers are increasingly turning to Uber Eats for more than just meals," said Hashim Amin, Head of grocery and retail for Uber in North America. "They rely on us for a variety of essentials, from paint supplies, to mulch for the garden, to the tools needed to kick off a weekend yard cleanup. We’re proud to welcome Ace Hardware’s extensive network and loyal customers to our platform as we continue to expand the selection available to shoppers on Uber Eats.”
Ace Hardware is the largest hardware cooperative in the world, serving more than 8,800 locally-owned and operated stores around the globe and more than 5,200 Ace retail stores in the U.S. Ace Hardware’s portfolio of brands includes Ace Hardware, Emery Jensen Distribution, and independent retailers worldwide. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill., Ace operates a network of U.S. distribution centers, along with international capabilities in Ningbo, China, and Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico.
Uber Eats leverages Uber’s technology and logistics capabilities to partner with 825,000 retailers in more than 11,000 cities globally, with an average delivery time the company says is under 30 minutes.
