Walmart.com veteran joins Macy’s digital team

Macy’s is making another move to drive its digital growth.

The department store chain appointed Jill Ramsey to the newly created position of chief product and digital revenue officer, effective Jan. 8. She will report to Hal Lawton, president of Macy’s.

Ramsey most recently served as VP, general manager of vertical businesses at eBay, which she joined in 2015. In the role, she was head of merchandising, had P&L responsibility for a majority of eBay’s U.S. sales, and oversaw most product categories and support functions.

Prior to eBay, she spent 15 years driving growth in various roles at walmart.com. Her most recent role was VP (corporate officer) – merchandising.

At Macy's, Ramsey will responsible for overseeing both product and revenue for macys.com and the Macy’s app. This includes driving digital revenue, as well as enterprise product management, the enterprise portfolio, digital merchandise management, site production, and the user experience. She will also be responsible for the product management teams that support both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.
