Lululemon dives deeper into pickleball via partnership with Life Time

Lululemon is partnering with Life Time, which operates over 170 upscale fitness centers.

With pickleball remaining the fasting-growing sport for the third year in a row, two upscale brands are joining forces. 

Fitness and wellness company Life Time has teamed up with Lululemon, naming the athletic apparel and accessories retailer as the official apparel partner of Life Time pickleball and tennis. 

The partnership came to life on May 4 at a major pickleball event at Life Time's new luxury athletic club in Manhattan. The 54,000-sq.-ft. center has seven street level pickleball courts — the most in New York City.

As part of the partnership, Lululemon will “provide apparel to the Life Time community” and collaborate on key pickleball events throughout Life Time's portfolio of athletic clubs. The retailer will also apparel online on the fitness company’s web site. (Life Time is the largest owner and operator of permanent pickleball courts and indoor tennis courts in the country, topping more than 960 between the two sports.)

In September, Lululemon entered into a five-year partnership with Peloton. The agreement includes the retailer becoming the primary apparel partner to the connected fitness company.
