Menswear brand Maceoo makes Las Vegas debut; more stores in the works

Maceoo is moving ahead with its expansion plans.

The West Coast-based luxury menswear brand, which prides itself for its mathematically engineered precise design, has opened at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Maceoo plans to open at least six locations in the coming year, in Dallas, Atlanta and other key cities.

The Aria store showcases the label’s full assortment, including dress shirts, jackets, sportswear, swimwear and more. A fragrance kiosk with 150 scents allows the fragrance to be blended to a customer’s specifications. Shoppers can also customize their purchases with custom patches or original art by spray paint artists.

“We want to lavish and pamper our customers with the finest of our collections and the total experience of the Maceoo lifestyle,” said Mehdi Raad, founder, CEO and designer of Maceoo, which also has stores in Miami and San Diego.

Raad said the company is on track with its expansion plans because it has learned the importance of being able to pivot in response to abrupt changes in the market and the industry.

“Even during the height of the pandemic, we were already setting in motion strategies that now enable us to adapt,” he said. “We've negotiated flexible rents with our hotel partners (where our stores are) based on occupancy that lets us pay higher rates when the hotels are full and less if for any travel restrictions there are less people in town.”

The brand has also been able to control manufacturing and overhead costs by taking production in-house.

The company describes itself the first fashion house to mathematically engineer precise design, with fit and comfort achieved through an algebraic algorithm based upon data from 30 million North American men. The extrapolated data ensures that all Maceoo pieces fit like custom-tailored garments, the company said.
