Something is new at Anthropologie

Urban Outfitter’s Anthropologie division is becoming more inclusive.

The trendy lifestyle retailer has introduced its first plus-size category, APlus by Anthropologie. The collection, which features the brand’s seasonal styles in an expanded size range that ranges from 16W to 26W, is available in select Anthropologie stores and on its website. More than 120 styles are in the initial collection.

“At launch, we’ll offer a great range of options and an exceptional shopping experience,” said Richa Srivastava, managing director, design, Anthropologie, which operates 226 stores in the U.S. and Canada. “We’ll evolve both as we move forward, adding more styles and locations as we learn from customer feedback.”

Previously, Anthrologie sizing extended from 00 – 16. Its move into the plus-size arena comes as more and more retailers are including extended sizes in their collections. Target is expanding its growing collection of exclusive brands with three private lingerie and sleepware brands, each of them in extended sizes.
