Rite Aid, WorkPlace Systems team for workforce management solution

1/24/2012

New York City -- Retail workforce management solution-provider WorkPlace Systems announced that Rite Aid will use WorkPlace OnLine, a cloud-based Schedule and Attendance Management service, at all Rite Aid stores.

The cloud Workforce Management solution will enable Rite Aid to improve the visibility, efficiency and control of pharmacy schedules and associated data such as labor costs and open shifts at all of its stores. This will provide improved labor utilization, reduced schedule administration time and improved compliance with all schedule-related processes, according to WorkPlace Systems. An additional strategic goal is aimed at improving work-life balance for pharmacists through the use of the associate portal for viewing and confirming schedules, making time off requests and shift bidding.

WorkPlace OnLine is being implemented using the WorkPlace Rapid Implementation Approach, which is in part facilitated by the service being provided in the “cloud” and accessed via a web browser. Implementation of WorkPlace OnLine at all Rite Aid stores is expected to be completed by March 2012.

“Rite Aid selected WorkPlace based on their expertise on scheduling associates across multiple locations, user friendliness and their rapid implementation strategies,” stated Dave Markley, VP of financial and labor analysis at Rite Aid.
