5/6/2014

Virginia Beach, Va. — Anthropologie has signed a 9,431-sq.-ft. lease in The Town Center of Virginia Beach, Va., and expects to open in fourth quarter 2014. The McDevitt Co. represented Anthropologie in the transaction. Divaris Real Estate, which leases The Town Center, represented the landlord, Armada Hoffler Properties.

“This is the first of several new and exciting fashion retailers coming to the Town Center of Virginia Beach this fall, each of which will be the first of its kind in all of Hampton Roads, Virginia,” said Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate. “Anthropologie will anchor the retail in the newly built Main Street Tower on the corner of Main and Town Center Drive across the street from the only Destination Maternity in the market.”

Main Street Tower in the Town Center of Virginia Beach includes a 15-story office building, 4525 Main Street, with Clark Nexsen as its major tenant, approximately 27,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 288 luxury apartments and an 890-car covered parking garage. More new tenants will be announced in the near future, primarily fashion and soft furnishing retailers opening their first stores in the region.
