Brooks Brothers unveils San Francisco flagship

9/6/2013

San Francisco -- Brooks Brothers has opened its second largest store in North America, a 26,000-sq.-ft. flagship in San Francisco’s Union Square.

The interior takes inspiration from Brooks Brothers’ nearly 100-year-old flagship at 346 Madison Avenue in New York City. In keeping with the atmosphere of the New York space, the first floor of the new store is covered in pale cherry wood. The women’s floor is accented with clean white paneling and marble floors. The mezzanine holds the Red Fleece label for men and women.

The fourth floor has a clubby, masculine atmosphere, with dark mahogany paneling and antiques throughout. The cash desk serves as a coffee bar and lounging area, and there is a pool table.

Many of the stores fixtures and decorations are antique, crafting a truly unique shopping environment in keeping with Brooks Brothers’ heritage.

Brooks Brothers currently operates 135 stores and 127 factory outlet-stores in the United States and 238 retail stores and 46 factory stores in 25 countries globally.

The four-level space features a wide range of men’s and women’s apparel, and a dedicated shop-in-shop for the Fleece children’s collection, the collegiate inspired Red Fleece label and the Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers collection designed by Thom Browne.
