Iconic New York off-pricer signs on for American Dream

3/16/2016

A new tenant has been added to the lineup at American Dream, the mega retail and entertainment destination under construction in East Rutherford, New Jersey: Century 21.

The off-pricer will open a nearly 60,000 sq. ft. location at the long-delayed center, which when completed will boost such attractions as an indoor water park, a Lego Discovery Center, a 16-story indoor ski and snow park, a miniature golf course — and more than 450 retail stores.

“As part of our company's thriving expansion strategy on the East Coast, this opportunity is something we are very excited about,” stated Raymond Gindi, co-CEO, Century 21 Department Store, which operates 10 stores in the New York City metro area. “The interactive complex is a natural fit for us as our stores continue to become more dynamic and engaging.”

The 3 million sq. ft. American Dream is being developed by Triple Five Group of Companies, owners of the two largest shopping and entertainment centers in North America: Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall.
