Levin adds two New Jersey shopping center assignments

Edison and Eatontown, N.J. — Levin Management has added two new shopping center assignments — on behalf of two new clients — to its portfolio.

Festival Plaza in Edison has named Levin managing agent for the 151,000-sq.-ft., Asian-themed, grocery-anchored property. The firm is also offering two proposed 10,000-sq.-ft. pads at the center for leasing. The center’s current tenants include H Mart Supermarket, a leading high-end Asian supermarket brand, Edison Healthcare, BBQ Buffet, Great Clips, China Trust Bank and others.

In Eatontown, the 30,000-sq.-ft. Eatontown Plaza, directly across from Monmouth Mall, has selected Levin is leasing agent. Levin is marketing a 7,700-sq.-ft. space. The Plaza is otherwise fully occupied by national tenants including Men’s Wearhouse, The Vitamin Shoppe, Leisure Fitness, Beach Bum Tanning and Sprint.

Gold’s Gym expands in Southern California

Montclair, Calif. — Gold’s Gym has announced the opening of a location in the newly remodeled Montclair Plaza in Montclair, Calif. The new location will join 11 existing Gold’s Gym Southern California franchise locations. Slated to open April 1, 2014, the 40,000-sq.-ft. facility will feature GGX group exercise offerings, cardio equipment with iPod docking stations, a steam room, Cardio Cinema, towel service, an indoor pool, Jacuzzi and more.

Other recent arrivals at Montclair Plaza include Mina Shoes, Fly and Xtreme.

European Wax Center inks two Manhattan leases

New York — European Wax Center has signed leases for two new Manhattan locations, according to Winick Realty Group, the broker that represented the retailer in the transaction.

The new locations at 95 Chambers Street and 295 Park Avenue South will bring the Wax Center’s total Manhattan store count to four. Both new locations are expected to open in the spring of 2014.

A former Straight from the Crate location, the 295 Park Avenue South location consists of 3,300 sq. ft. on the ground floor and 1,800 sq. ft. of selling space on the lower level. Winick represented the landlord Abington Holding in the transaction.

Located between Broadway and Church Street, 95 Chambers Street is the brand’s first Tribeca store. The 1,650-sq.-ft. store sits at the base of a newly constructed luxury condominium. Winick also represented the landlord, Ascend Group. Winick is continuing to market the building’s remaining retail space — a 1,300-sq.-ft. store and a second store that includes 2,000 sq. ft. on the ground floor and 1,500 sq. ft. on the lower level.
