Modell’s Sporting Goods expands New York footprint with two new stores

New York -- Modell’s Sporting Goods will celebrate the grand opening of two of its newest locations on Aug. 30, giving it a total of 155 storefronts.



The new stores are located in Huntington Shopping Center, Huntington Station, N.Y., and in Fivetowns Shopping Center, Rosedale, N.Y. Both locations are on Long Island.



Along with the ribbon cuttings, both locations will be running weekend long promotions. The first 50 guests will receive a pair of New York Yankees tickets, followed by the next 100 receiving $25 Modell’s gift cards.



On Saturday and Sunday, both locations will be giving away “mystery gift cards” worth $25, $50 or $100 to the first 150 customers and $10 gift cards to the next 100 customers starting at 9a.m. To close out the Grand Opening Weekend on Labor Day, the first 100 customers will receive $25 Modell’s gift card.
