3/29/2013

Palm Beach, Fla. -- Sloan’s, an upscale ice cream, candy and baked-goods emporium, has launched a national franchising program, targeting regions in Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia, New York and New England and throughout California.

The company expects to open its first location in Southern California later this year as part of a franchise agreement with San Diego-based businessman and entrepreneur Larry Greenberg, who has acquired the development rights to build and operate Sloan’s Ice Cream stores throughout Los Angeles as well as in San Diego and Orange Counties.

Sloan’s anticipates a total of approximately 200 U.S. franchise locations, with international expansion on the horizon.

“We created Sloan’s to be a dreamland for everyone, kids and adults of all ages. Our focus has never changed. In fact, we just keep enhancing the experience and now we’re ready to immerse even more people in the Sloan’s brand,” said company founder and owner Sloan Kamenstein, who is also a classically trained chef.

Sloan is known for its fun, over-the-top interiors, which include chandeliers and posh pink walls and ceilings. Plush toys line its walls.
