Ross Stores CFO leaving for new post

The finance chief of Ross Stores is stepping down.

The off-price retailer said that executive VP and CFO Travis Marquette has resigned effective immediately to accept a position with another company, which Ross did not reveal. Marquette has served in the position since 2019. 

The company’s senior finance executives will report to Michael Hartshorn, Ross president and COO, until leadership changes are announced in the coming months.

“Travis has made a number of contributions over the years in various leadership roles,” stated Barbara Rentler, CEO, Ross Stores. We thank him and wish him well in his future endeavors.

She added: “We have a very talented and long-tenured team of senior finance executives and have confidence in their ability to aid in the continued profitable growth and market share gains for the company.”

Based in in Dublin, Calif., Ross operates 1,589 namesake off-price stores in 40 states, the District of Columbia and Guam. The company also operates 285 dd’s Discounts stores in 21 states that feature a more moderately priced assortment of name brand apparel, accessories, footwear, and home fashions.
