Super-glue proves its strength in pop-up
Even Krazy Glue can't escape the lure of a holiday pop-up.
The super-strong, fast-drying glue brand put its product to the test at The Krazy Store in Manhattan. The company used the glue to suspend holiday gift items — including a 263 lb. pool table and a 130 lb. home gym — from the ceiling and from store shelves throughout the pop-up, which was only open for one day (Dec. 12.)
"A single drop of Krazy Glue can hold up to 1,000 lbs., and we wanted to prove it to holiday shoppers," said Victor Misawa, senior VP of marketing, writing, Newell Brands. "In the Krazy Store, we were able to show off the strength of our glue while putting some additional "crazy" in the holiday shopping season. And, a few lucky shoppers were able to take home the presents for free when they played our Krazy Glue trivia game."
Store visitors and those playing along on Krazy Glue's social media channels were also given the chance to take home some of the items on by guessing the weight of each gift that was being suspended with the glue.
