Neiman Marcus unveils fantasy gifts — for those with deep pockets

10/19/2016

Neiman Marcus’s legendary Christmas Book turns 90 this year, but age has not dimmed its over-the-top appeal.

On Wednesday, the luxe retailer unveiled the 90th edition of its annual holiday catalog and, in keeping with past years, it includes a collection (12 to be exact) of indulgent—and very pricey — fantasy gifts.

This year’s offerings range from a walk-on role in the hit Broadway musical Waitress ($30,000) to a private quarterback camp with football legend Joe Montana ( $65,000) to a trip to the 2017 Grammy Awards, which also includes an invite to Clive Davis' and The Recording Academy's famed pre-Grammy gala ($250,000). There are also “his and hers” cars adorned with Lily Pulitzer prints ($65,000 each).

And for the really big spenders, the catalog offers a week for eight at three famous British countryside estates, featuring all manner of luxuries (a whopping $700,000).

As in previous years, Neiman Marcus will donate a portion of the proceeds from the majority of fantasy gifts to its Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, which brings enriching art experiences to youth in communities nationwide.
