Sears smart appliances hear Alexa’s call
More than 40 Sears Kenmore smart appliances have received Works with Alexa certification.
In all, 46 Kenmore smart laundry, dishwasher, and refrigerator appliances are certified as Works with Alexa, meaning they meet Amazon's standard for responsiveness, reliability and functionality.
Customers who purchase Kenmore smart appliances with the Works with Alexa certification can control their appliances using voice commands for a variety of tasks. For example, customers can have their Alexa device communicate with smart washers, dryers and dishwashers to start or see how much time remains on a cycle. Alexa devices can also interact with smart refrigerators to determine temperature and to turn on the ice-maker.
Kenmore also recently announced Amazon Dash replenishment is available on Kenmore smart refrigerators, so customers can have water and air filters reordered automatically when they need to be replaced. In 2018, the Kenmore brand introduced a line of room air conditioners that are compatible with Alexa and certified as Works with Alexa.
