Williams-Sonoma Inc. names new marketing chief
A leading home decor and furniture retailer has promoted a longtime marketing executive to its C-suite.
Williams-Sonoma Inc. has named Abby Teisch as its new chief marketing officer. A 20-year veteran of the retailer, Teisch will lead enterprise-wide marketing strategies across the company’s portfolio of brands, with responsibility for performance marketing, customer engagement and data-driven growth initiatives.
Most recently, Teisch served as the executive VP of marketing at Williams-Sonoma Inc. for the past two years. The retailer says her accomplishments in the role include advancing the company’s marketing strategy and measurement capabilities, enhancing digital customer acquisition and retention efforts, and elevating brand storytelling across channels.
“Abby brings a powerful combination of brand vision, digital fluency, and operational excellence to our team,” said Laura Alber, president and CEO of Williams-Sonoma Inc. “Her contributions to our company have been instrumental in establishing our leadership in digital marketing and customer loyalty. Her work as CMO will be an accelerant to our long-term growth strategies.”
Teisch joined Williams-Sonoma Inc. in 2005 as a digital analyst, and has held positions of increasing responsibility since then. The retailer says her promotion underscores its continued investment in brand leadership, data-driven marketing and customer experience innovation.
