  • Harris Teeter to anchor Caldwell Crossing

    Charlotte, N.C. -- Aston Properties announced plans to develop Caldwell Crossing in Harrisburg, North Carolina, on the corner of Caldwell Road and Hwy. 49. 

    Construction has begun on the 85,000-sq.-ft. center with an anticipated opening date in late fall 2015.

    Caldwell Crossing will be anchored by a Harris Teeter grocery store and will include up to 26,000 sq. ft. of small shops. In addition to Harris Teeter and the shops, the center will include two outparcels.

  • Columbia Sportswear to debut at Southlake Town Square

    Southlake, Texas -- Retail Properties of America, Inc. announced that Columbia Sportswear's Performance Fishing Gear concept store, plus several additional retailers including Altar'd State (5,162 sq. ft.), Elaine Turner (2,066 sq. ft.), ME SPA – which replaces Coldwater Creek Spa – and J.Jill, have recently opened, or will be opening, at Southlake Town Square in Southlake, Texas.
     
    Columbia Sportswear's PFG store, the first of its kind in Texas, will measure 3,456 sq. ft. and is slated to open in late November 2014.

  • NYC’s first enclosed mall in 40 years officially opens

    New York -- The Mall at Bay Plaza, New York City’s first enclosed fashion mall in over 40 years, officially opens on Aug. 14.

  • Pair Wine and Cheese to open in Cobble Hill

    Brooklyn, N.Y. -- Winick Realty Group said that Pair Wine and Cheese, a retail café focused on the precise pairings of wines and cheeses, has signed a lease for its first location at 140 Atlantic Avenue between Henry and Clinton Streets in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn.

    Set to open in fourth quarter 2014, Pair Wine and Cheese will occupy approximately 1,000 sq. ft. on the ground floor, as well as about 500 sq. ft. in an outdoor garden.

  • Baker Katz breaks ground on new retail center in Tomball, Texas

    Houston -- Baker Katz, an X Team International partner and full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm, announced that construction has begun on its retail center in Tomball, Texas.

  • M&M’S World makes Asia debut with Shanghai flagship

    Shanghai, China -- M&M’S celebrated the grand opening of its first M&M’S World store in Asia – M&M’s World Shanghai, a 17,000+-sq.-ft. entertainment destination that marks the brand’s fifth M&M’s World flagship store. Current flagships include Times Square, New York; Orlando; Las Vegas; and Leicester Square London.
     
    Spanning two floors and combining iconic Chinese landmarks and cultural elements, the store features a large array of candies and M&M-branded merchandise.

  • Yellow Box store makes California debut

    Columbus, Ohio -- DSW’s Affiliated Business Group division and Yellow Box Corporation have opened the first-ever Yellow Box Footwear store in California, at the Westfield Topanga Mall, in Canoga Park.

    Founded in 1998, Yellow Box is a footwear wholesaler best known for its jeweled sandals for women. The Yellow Box retail concept made its debut in June, with a store in Miami.

  • Whole Foods to anchor 186-acre mixed-use CityLine development

    Richardson, Texas -- Commercial real estate development and investment firm KDC announced that Regency Centers will build a 40,000-sq.-ft. store for Whole Foods Market in its CityLine Market development at KDC’s 186-acre mixed-use CityLine project in Richardson, Texas.

  • New retailers come to Westchester Ridge Hill

    Yonkers, N.Y. -- Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC), the developer and owner of the Westchester’s Ridge Hill shopping center, has announced some new tenants that will open at the regional center. They include 5 Napkin, a family-friendly bar and grill; Wine Zetta, a regional wine store; and Hand and Stone, a spa franchise.

  • American Apparel relocates Aix-en-Provence store in France

    Los Angeles – American Apparel has relocated its Aix-en-Provence store in France. Set in a former private hotel, the new location features an open, single floor layout and flower garden.

    The shop maintains much of the building's early architecture including stone walls, a fireplace (transformed into a shoe display) and double front doors depicting the city's emblem of two lion faces. With history dating back to the 16th century, it marks the company's oldest interior in Europe.
