  • Applebee’s acquires pad in Richardson, Texas

    Dallas — Applebee’s has purchased a one-acre pad in Richardson, Texas, from Leon Capital Group. Venture Commercial Real Estate represented Applebee’s in the transaction.

    Venture Commercial’s full-service real estate platform includes landlord and tenant representation, property management, land sales, disposition and income property sales. As the D-FW partner of X Team International, Venture is able to serve its clients on a national scale.

     

  • New tenants for Knoxville’s University Commons

    Knoxville, Tenn. — Four new retailers have signed leases with University Commons, a new retail center adjacent to the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville, Tenn. The property’s developer, CHM, made the announcement.

    The newly signed retailers are Fresh To Order, a fast-fine restaurant concept; Blush Boutique, an affordable-fashion concept; Great Clips, the chain’s twentieth Knoxville-area shop; and Jersey Mike’s, the fast casual submarine sandwich franchise.

  • Sears Home Applicance Showroom opens in Florida

    Hoffman Estates, Ill. - Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. opens its newest Florida Sears Home Appliance Showroom on April 25, in Sunrise. The Sunrise location is one of six Sears Home Appliance Showrooms Michael Myers owns and operates.

  • Sally Beauty opens in Round Lake Beach, Illinois

    Chicago — Sally Beauty Supply has opened a store in the Round Lake Court shopping center in Round Lake Beach, Ill. The professional beauty products retailer leased a 1,755-sq.-ft. space.

    CBRE represented Sally Beauty Supply in the transaction, and McCaffrey Interests represented the landlord.

     

  • Century 21 to anchor The Gallery in Philadelphia

    Philadelphia — Century 21 has signed into The Gallery in Center City Philadelphia. It is the iconic fashion retailer’s first location outside of the New York market, according to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, the owner and manager of The Gallery.

  • Starbucks plans 1,500 new stores, expanded offerings

    Seattle – Starbucks Coffee Corp. plans to open 1,500 new stores worldwide during 2014, including 600 in North America. Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said that Starbucks is under-stored in many markets, including North America, during a conference call discussing the company’s second quarter financial results.

  • Nordstrom Rack plans 2015 store opening in Albuquerque

    Seattle – Nordstrom Inc. plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Winrock Town Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The approximately 33,500-sq.-ft. store is scheduled to open in fall 2015.

    The new Nordstrom Rack will be the company's first retail location in New Mexico.

  • DDR rolls out additional centers with Tesla Supercharger

    Beachwood, Ohio -- Shopping center owner DDR Corp. has installed the third Tesla Supercharger station in its portfolio; the newest Supercharger station is located at Hamilton Marketplace in Hamilton, New Jersey, and represents the third state where a flagship Supercharger station has been activated at a DDR shopping center, following Virginia and Ohio.

    Based on current conversations, the relationship could expand to several more locations across the country by year-end, according to DDR.

  • Simon expands Desert Hills Premium Outlets

    Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group Inc. has opened a 50-store expansion of Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, California. Desert Hills now has 180 stores.

  • Leslie's Poolmart opening 20 stores this week

    Phoenix -- Leslie's Poolmart, Inc. said it will grand-open 20 retail locations throughout the U.S. on April 25; stores will open in Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

    In total, Leslie's plans to open 45 new stores this year, between April and May of 2014.
