Bloomingdale’s unveils holiday promotion

Bloomingdale’s is not waiting to begin its holiday promotion.

Bloomingdale’s is kicking off the holiday season with an omnichannel campaign called “Give Happy.”

The upscale department store retailer is introducing the “Celebration Shop,” a new boutique with gifts centered around three stories – Entertain, Indulge, and Get Glam. Products include chic serveware, cocktail kits, glam makeup palettes, and tablescape items.

Bloomingdale’s will also offer a variety of in-store activations and events throughout the season. This year, the retailer's holiday unveiling event will return at its 59th Street flagship store on Nov. 18, featuring performances to be announced. Also beginning Nov. 18, visitors to the Bloomingdale's 59th Street flagship will experience in-store holiday activations.

Furthermore, Bloomingdale's will offer an in-store and online "Steal of the Day" throughout the season, a one-day promotion on a single item from some of its bestselling brands, including outerwear, loungewear, shoes, fine jewelry, home, kitchen electrics, and wellness accessories. On Thursday, Nov. 4, Bloomingdale’s will debut the holiday edition of The Carousel @ Bloomingdale's, its rotating pop-up shop exclusive to the 59th Street flagship and Bloomingdales.com. The shop's curation is dedicated to the theme of entertaining and will be curated by an expert to be announced.

Bloomingdale’s is also offering "Top 10 Gift Lists,” curated by recipient personality. The retailer’s Bloomingdale's On Screen virtual event series will host virtual experiences throughout the season. Events will give customers tips on holiday entertaining and dress, as well as selecting gifts. In addition, Bloomingdale's On Screen has tapped Jordan Andino, TV personality, chef and co-owner of Flip Sigi restaurants, to host "A Decadently Delicious Holiday" six-part cooking series, beginning Nov. 3. Throughout the season, Andino will partner with influencers special celebrity guests like TV personality Tyler Cameron and chef and TV personality Giada De Laurentiis.

To kick off the holiday entertaining season, Bloomingdale's will offer a Thanksgiving promotion called "Best Thanksgiving Ever.” This 10-day event, from Nov. 3-13, will feature in-store culinary events and activations, Bloomingdale's On Screen events, and special Bloomingdales.com content, including a full menu with five special original recipes, along with "how-to" videos including food prep advice, time-saving tips, and décor ideas.

Many retailers, notably including Bloomingdale’s parent Macy’s, are also starting their holiday promotions well before Thanksgiving. And from Nov. 1 – Dec. 31, Bloomingdale's shoppers can round their in-store purchase up to the nearest dollar to benefit the non-profit Child Mind Institute, as well as donate at online checkout.
