Build-A-Bear transforms in-store customer engagement

Build A Bear is enhancing its in-store shopping environment.

Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. is focusing on the end-to-end store experience.

The experiential retailer, which is pursuing an ongoing, multi-year digital transformation strategy, is running Jumpmind CX Connect interactive customer displays on iPad devices. This enables Build-A-Bear store associates to provide one-to-one personalized customer engagement, and complements Build-A-Bear’s implementation of the Jumpmind Commerce cloud-native, mobile-first POS solution.

 The company has completed its Jumpmind rollout in Build-A-Bear Workshop stores in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., and will roll out Jumpmind POS and customer experience technology to stores in additional geographies during 2024.

Headquartered in St. Louis, Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. operates early 500 interactive brick-and-mortar experience locations through a variety of formats. The company also offers e-commerce/digital purchasing experiences on its e-commerce site, including its online “Bear-Builder,” the animated “Bear Builder 3D Workshop” and its age-gated, adult-focused “Bear Cave,” and offers products at wholesale and in non-plush consumer categories via licensing agreements with manufacturers. Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. posted total revenue of $467.9 million in fiscal 2022.
