H&M Canada collaborates with Instacart for same-day delivery

The latest non-grocer to provide same-day delivery via Instacart is the Canadian operation of a global fast-fashion giant.

H&M Canada is teaming up with online delivery platform Instacart to provide same-day delivery to customers living close to an H&M store in the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Although Instacart is best-known for facilitating delivery of online grocery orders, in recent months, retailers outside the supermarket vertical including Sephora, Staples, and Big Lots have partnered with the platform. H&M Canada is the first apparel company to publicly partner with Instacart.

Beginning Oct. 16, shoppers can purchase a selection of basics and fashion pieces in the ladies’, men's and kids’ departments and have it delivered to them on the same day. Customers can visit the H&M section of the Canadian Instacart site or use the Instacart mobile app. From there, customers input their postal code, select the H&M storefront and can begin adding products to their Instacart cart. For all orders, an Instacart personal shopper will pick and deliver the order within the customer's designated time frame – whether same-day or scheduled in advance.

"We are always looking for new ways to renew ourselves, create a genuine bond with our customers and diversify our offerings. Customer-centricity is one of our top priorities at H&M – it is so important for us to truly listen to and understand our customers wants and needs." said Frédéric Tavoukdjian, country manager for H&M Canada. "Partnering with Instacart is an innovative, safe and convenient way for customers to get H&M product in their hands the very same day."

H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB was founded in Sweden in 1947 and has 51 online markets and more than 5,000 stores in 74 markets, including franchisees.
