DLC signs four new anchor leases

11/23/2011

Tarrytown, N.Y. -- DLC Management Corp. said Tuesday that it has executed four new anchor deals over the last three-month period.

In Jonesboro, Ga., PJS Market will open an 80,160-sq.-ft. retail mini-mall at Tara Crossing Shopping Center, in a space vacated just four months earlier. This is PJS Market’s second location in Metro Atlanta and is expected to open by the end of the year.

At Riverdale Crossing in Riverdale, Ga., local grocery operator Little Giant Farmers Market will open a 47,955-sq.-ft. store in a space previously occupied by a Publix supermarket which closed at the end of 2010. This is the second Little Giant in a DLC center and the grocer’s third in the Atlanta MSA.

Essex Bargain Hunt will open a 38,117-sq.-ft. store at Florence Square in Florence, Ala. The discount variety store, which has 12 other locations primarily in the Southeast, filled a several-year-old vacancy left by SteinMart.

In Dallas, Fallas Paredes signed a 22,300-sq.-ft. lease at Whiterock Marketplace, marking a significant point in the revitalization of the community shopping center which had faced a high vacancy rate for some time. Fallas Paredes will occupy the last of the large vacancies at the center.

In addition to the new anchor leases, DLC announced that a deal with Dollar Tree was just finalized at Ocean East Mall in Stuart, Fla. Dollar Tree will be occupying a 12,000-sq.-ft. space alongside newly opened The Fresh Market.
