MacDade Mall attracts junior anchors with recent redevelopment

7/9/2014

Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania —The newly redeveloped MacDade Mall – located at 2600 MacDade Boulevard in Holmes, Pennsylvania – has attracted two new junior anchors: Marshalls, which opened in August 2013, and Ross, which will hold its grand opening this month.

The circa-1969 mall was redeveloped by owner/operator Wolfson Group, which invested $10 million to gut the entire structure down to the steel, remove the mall’s interior enclosure, install new utilities, and re-orient storefronts with all-new facades toward the street—effectively “de-malling” the shopping center so tenants can welcome a new generation of customers.

Additionally, a new central corridor provides access to tenants situated in the rear of the site.

Straddling the line between Ridley Township and Glenolden Borough, the 97% leased MacDade Mall includes 274,500 sq. ft. of retail space and parking for 875 cars. Anchored by Big Kmart and ACME, retail tenants include TD Bank, Citizens Bank, Retro Fitness, McLaughlin’s Beverage, Hair Cuttery, Ruby Tuesday, Ambiance Nails, SONIC, and Burger King, with additional tenants to be announced in coming months.
