Rialto Jean Project opens New York pop-up shop

9/5/2014

Venice, Calif. – Vertical denim retailer Rialto Jean Project (RJP) opens a month-long pop-up shop on Sept. 5 in New York's South Street Seaport, in conjunction with the New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer presentations kicking off around Manhattan.

The RJP Pop-up Shop will be open to the public daily through Sept. 30, selling hand-painted vintage denim jeans, shorts, shirts, skirts and jackets, from the current and future RJP collections. Customers will also be able to purchase one-of-a-kind bespoke pieces, custom hand-painted by the designer, by appointment only. The shop itself, nestled in an early 19th century federal building, offers pieces of art and fashion from RJP juxtaposed against the solid brick and industrial facades.

In addition to selling the RJP collections from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, the Rialto Jean Project will curate events and promotions throughout the month. The Howard Hughes Corporation has provided the retail space to RJP.
