Westfield names U.S. leasing division head

Los Angeles -- The Westfield Group announced that David T. Weinert will join the U.S. unit of the group as senior executive VP leasing.



Weinert joins Westfield after 25 years with the Taubman Co., most recently serving as senior VP of leasing.



Weinert will begin his tenure with Westfield in mid-2013. He will replace Peter Leslie, who will return to Australia as head and director of leasing for the Australian portfolio. With the return of Peter Leslie to Australia, Westfield also announced the appointment of John Papagiannis – current leasing director in Australia – to the role of general manager, development for the Australian portfolio.
