SPECS 2020 to shine a spotlight on innovation—register NOW

Retailers are stepping up their store development game — and innovation is at the forefront of their strategies.

Drones, smartphone apps and automation are only a few solutions influencing how retailers are designing, building and maintaining their physical stores. SPECS 2020, March 15-17, at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, will highlight how these and other innovations are changing the store development landscape. (Click here to register for the conference.)

Among the SPECS sessions that illustrate this new era of innovation include:

•    Facilities Management Disruptors. A variety of issues are impacting facilities management operations — including technology. From robotics to artificial intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics, retailers are looking at new ways to manage maintenance programs. An all-star panel including Amber Hoyt, senior manager of innovation, Walmart; Chad Melton, store facilities manager, American Eagle, and Kevin Chips, senior regional supervisor, director of campus facilities, Abercrombie & Fitch, will discuss how these and other innovations are improving FM operations.

•    The Smart Site — Leveraging Innovative Solutions.  Drones, smartphone apps and monitoring systems are changing the game when it comes to store development. Gary Kaganowich, senior manager, U.S. programs and major infrastructure projects at TD Bank, and Tracey Hall, VP of property management, Phillips Edison & Co., will share how connected devices are taking their store planning, development and maintenance efforts to the next level.

•    Here Come the Robots. A new workforce is hitting the store -- and freeing up associates to interact with customers.  Retailers are relying on "robots" — from automated floor scrubbers to roving devices that roam store floors in search of spills and messes — to take on repetitive, time-consuming tasks.  Hear how retailers are utilizing autonomous devices to speed up maintenance processes and improve customer service at store-level.
